Gina and I headed east on my buddy Rand's boat out of Shinnecock Inlet. We tried for some mahi however before we got to our destination the NE wind was already showing its ugly head. We then ran back to the Shinnecock Reef and had a nice steady pick of fluke and seabass. However, it didn't last long as the wind started to blow out of the east at 15-20 kts. There is an old saying..winds from the east fishing the least. The waves became steep and we were no longer able to hold with 8oz of lead. So we cut the day short, but before we did guess who caught a nice 6.75lb fluke?

I thought some of you guys might like the picture of a green heron doing some of his own fisihng.
