We started the day on the other side of the bay clamming. We had to get there early before the wind kicked in. We found plenty of clams and a couple of very curious deer.

Very windy today on the water. Our nephew  Matthew is staying with us for a few days from Texas. With a few days of heavy winds in the forecast, I decided to give it a shot today. I waited until we had wind with tide then headed out. I couldn't believe the amount of boats out. I thought that the wind would make the bite a tough one today, but it turned out to be very fishable. However the biggest problem came from all of the slip gut in the water. Matt ended up catching his first fluke and a lot more. The bite was great despite the conditions. Gina played 1st mate after a few fish.
