    I

    May 22th, 2019

Another great day. Fred and I headed out looking for blues and weakfish, we found plenty.

I got a call that the blues were right outside the canal. After 15 minutes I realized that the blues were mid-sized. They were feeding on bunker, so poppers were not going to work. I quickly made the call to get out of dodge and look for the big brutes. As you can see we found them. It was nuts. With the sun high above us we were spot casting to them. We were so shallow I needed to keep my engines out of the water to prevent us from getting stuck. The water was gem clear. Fred is 73 years young and he was having a blast. After about 2 hours of non-stop action we headed on.

We found some weaks. We had about 15. Fred out fished me.

The top 2 screen shots show a bait ball on the flats as the weakfish lie in weight.
