Weekly Wednesday Wrap up

It's been all weakfish and bluefish. I spoke too soon last week when I mentioned that the big blues were tougher to come by.  I can't get enough of big blues blowing up poppers!

The bass are still to the west of Fire Island. It's crazy that it's almost June and there are very few bass reports from around our area. 

​

It's tough to fluke with all of the slip gut in the water. Slip gut is the stuff that looks like wet hair that clumps onto your line, swivel, weight, lure and anything else that is fished below the surface. 

 

I'm waiting for my next chance at getting offshore but it looks like it's going to be awhile. Weather looks very windy over the next 10 days. I hope the forecast is wrong.
