Very eerie morning on the water. As you can see there were a lot of low clouds as the sun would peak out every now and then. Talk about eerie, nobody will believe me on how I caught this keeper, but I will tell the story anyway. I saw a bunker do its thing on top of the water so I cast in that direction. As soon as the lure hit the water my line came tight. I didn't even turn the handle yet. I figured I snagged a bunker until the fish started to rip some drag. I finally got a look and it turned out to be a nice keeper size bass. I net the fish and as I took the hook out I saw a bunker lodged in his throat. I truly believe that the bass came up to swallow the bunker and I threw my lure directly into his mouth..Swish! Today I was lucky.

I think it's insane how I can't catch more than one bass a day. If you think that I stop fishing and go home after I catch one you would be mistaken. It makes me fish even harder. On any given day I'm casting usually 200-300 times. This day last year was my first trip to the honey hole. I'm having a great start to this season. I'm starting to hear some chatter about big bass on pods outside. I will soon try to confirm.
