Great day on the water with Joe. We had very little action until the outgoing tide started. The incoming water was cold, 55 degrees. Once the water warmed up on the outgoing the fish began to chew. We had only one keeper but we landed about 30 shorts. We also missed a lot of fish. They just weren't hitting the baits aggressively today. I found a wreck that I was able to mark. This wreck will hold some nice blackfish come October.

The weather was spectacular. I love fishing weekdays!! The upcoming forecast looks really bad. Cloudy, windy and cold starting on Sunday. It looks like I will be hitting the honey hole.

My offshore column kicks off this weekend. I was also informed that 2 articles that I have recently submitted were picked up. One will appear in the July issue and the other in the August issue
