I got a late start to the morning. I hit the water around 8am and I headed towards the weakfish grounds. On the way there I ran into some bass and birds. It was short lived. I could't even get a rat to the boat. That's strike one. Looked for some weakfish. That was strike two. Tried the bridge for some bass. That was strike three.  In my version of baseball I get four strikes😜. On the way home, almost in the same location that I saw them this morning birds and bass were going nuts. Thankfully it lasted longer than the morning bite. For 2  hours I had bass on just about every cast. I really scaled down the size of the Zman that I was using. All fish were shorts. Great action on light gear. The bay was like a lake!
