I went back out yesterday afternoon with Joe and Brad. There were fish but way too many boats. Brad picked up a schoolie and that was it. It was cool to see the sun setting and the moon rising at the same time.
I went out this morning with Bob. We found the birds and we found some fish. I had 8, while Bob had a handful. The bite shut down around 9am.
I had a feeling with the incoming storm that the bass would be on the feed so I headed back out again this afternoon. I was spot on! Plenty of bass to be had. All fish were caught on storm shads. People that were using poppers were having a tough time catching fish.
Catching a lot of bass has one draw back that I'm happy to deal with.. scraped off skin. They don't have teeth but the inside of their mouths are coarse like a sharks skin. Sand paper.
It's about to blow pretty hard for the next few days. Hopefully these fish will still be around. We will see if these fish are still here.
