It was a long day! we pushed off at 1am hoping to find a night bite. Fishing in the dark was a complete bust. In fact most of the day was a complete bust except for a 45 minute span that was total chaos. Dan and Chris worked their butts off as fish were exploding around the boat. In those short 45 minutes we managed 8 bites. We were able to ice up 6 of those fish. As you can see from the photos it was slick calm out. As we were throwing baits in the water we could see not only yft but also skippies and albies. Not once did we hook up with a skippy or albie. I think going with larger baits was the reason. The amount of boats out there on a Thursday was insane. I may get another shot next week.
